FREE HEALTH TIPS

Health Tips submitted by Erien Frazier
Here are a few tips to keep in mind in our quest for better health (N.E.W.S.T.A.R.T.) For more information on the health tips contact New Joy Fellowship.  Email: cherrydezign@myactv.net

  1. Nutrition: eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, beans, whole grains, nuts, and seeds. Try to stay away from white sugar, white flour, and white grease.
  2. Exercise: you must exercise every day! Your heart will love you for it. A brisk walk is wonderful for clearing up a foggy brain.
  3. Water: your body is 80% water. Every day you lose water by breathing, sweating, and urine. It must be replaced to keep the body functioning properly. Sodas, energy drinks, fruit drinks, etc will not do what pure water does for the body. Water also flushes fat and toxins from the body and is responsible for keeping us younger looking. When a plum looses most of its water, it becomes a prune.
  4. Sunlight: we need to be out in the sunlight everyday, even when it is cloudy because the sun will turn the cholesterol that is in our body to vitamin D. You can surely thank God for that.
  5. Trust in God: we all have troubles of all sorts in our lives. God’s Word is full of promises and instructions that will help us in any situation that we find ourselves in. We must find time to study and learn about Him so that we can fully trust Him with our lives.
  6. Air: fresh air in our homes while we sleep and fresh morning air when we walk helps our blood move freely as it transports oxygen to the organs.
  7. Rest: the best rest to be had is found everyday between 10pm and 2am and Friday sunset to Saturday sunset. God put the body on daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly cycles. There are certain repairs that the body makes while we sleep during the resting cycle. Always go to bed on time.
  8. Temperance: this simply means we should not over do anything. Don’t eat too much, don’t work too much, and get enough rest.
